Pizza Express, the pizza giant famous for tea-time childcare, Gondoliers and the kind of balls you actually want in your mouth, is to open a pop-up drive-through restaurant in Barnard Castle in June.
It is a move described as ‘a unique brand partnership and classic take on the drivethru experience’ in which it saw the opportunity to be part of the changing face of experiential marketing aimed at short-sighted, sweaty execs up and down the country.
Drivers will be able to pull up and choose from a number of their classic favourite pizzas and spicy specials such as The Car (Scotch) Bonnet. The menu will be so hard to read from your car that if you successfully manage to order, you’ll be given a complimentary pair of driving glasses.
Bernard Kettle, project lead at Pizza Express adds “this is a fantastic chance to position ourselves alongside Barnard Castle and we very much look forward to this collaboration.”
Timestamped, In-ride car photos will be also be part of the offering, for that added memento of your special trip.
